Man admits attempted sexually-charged conversation with 12-year-old
A MAN who attempted to cause a child to engage in sexual activity was also found in possession of child abuse images.
Richard Pickford, 44, admitted an attempt to cause a 12-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity when he appeared before magistrates.
He also admitted attempted sexual communication with a child, possession of Category A indecent images, possession of Category B images and possession of images at Category C.
He is charged with possessing 30 images and two videos of children.
Pickford, of Dorchester End, Colchester, was released on unconditional bail until a sentencing hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court on August 15.
He will remain subject to police notification requirements until he is sentenced.
