A MAN has been ordered to pay nearly £400 after he admitted stealing cheese and laundry products from a Co-op supermarket.
Aidan Rye, 37, appeared in Colchester Magistrates Court charged with two counts of theft.
In April, Rye stole laundry products worth £19.72 from a Co-op, and in May, he stole £35 worth of Cathedral City cheese from the same retailer.
Admitting to the offences earlier this month, Rye, of Arnold Drive, Colchester, was fined a total of £377.64 and had the offences placed on his criminal record.
