POLICE are investigating after a man tried to force his way into a retirement complex in Colchester.
The attempted break-in happened at Lancer House Retirement Complex, in Butt Road, at around 6pm on July 17.
The suspect was described as an intoxicated white man in his late 20s, 5ft 9ins/10ins tall and with short dark hair wearing a grey jogging bottoms, and a black hooded top.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "He was unable to get in and nothing was stolen.
"If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us."
