A DRIVER has been banned from the roads after being almost double the legal alcohol limit.
Kelemedi Kida, of Casino Road, Colchester, was caught drink-driving in June when he registered 66 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
When appearing in Colchester Magistrates’ Court earlier this month, the 23-year-old received a driving ban for 18 months, as well as a fine of £300.
Kida was also convicted of driving without insurance or a test certificate but received no additional penalties.
