SHAMAL George has said a heartfelt farewell to Colchester United after leaving them for Livingston.
The U's goalkeeper has left the U's to join the Scottish Premiership side for an undisclosed fee, ending his two-year stay at the JobServe Community Stadium.
George has signed a four-year deal with Livi.

In an open letter addressed to Colchester United Football Club posted on social media, he said: “I would like to thank everyone of you fans for the love and support you have given me over the last 2 wonderful years.
“Thank you for the affectionate way you welcomed me.
“Thank you for singing my name on match days for the constant support before during and after games.
“Colu fans will forever hold a special place in my heart.
“I would also like to thank the Chairman and all the managers and coaching staff who have shown faith and contributed to my development, giving me the game time that not many young GK’s are able to get in the league.
“With each training session, With each game I was always learning. For this I am forever grateful.

“The time has now come to move on. I am certainly going to miss my teammates.

George joined Colchester as a free agent in August 2020, after leaving Premier League giants Liverpool.
The 24-year-old made 50 league and cup appearances for the U's and was voted their 2021-22 Player of the Year by fans.
George also landed the CUSA Home Player of the Year award, after an impressive season between the sticks, after helping his side keep eight clean sheets.
