A LAND Rover thief has been ordered to undertake unpaid work after being caught by the police.
Joseph Waters, 31, admitted stealing the vehicle worth £1,500 from another man in Colchester on June 27.
Colchester Magistrates’ Court heard how Waters, of Ship Wharf, Colchester, drove the Land Rover on Hawkins Road while uninsured and without the relevant licence, two further crimes he admitted.
He must now undertake 120 hours of unpaid work and 15 days of a rehabilitation activity.
Waters was also ordered to pay £379 in a surcharge, costs and fine, and was handed six points on his driving record.
