POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at an Aldi in Colchester.
Essex Police have reported that at around 6pm on Tuesday, July 5 a robbery occurred at the Aldi store in Cowdray Avenue.
It was reported a man threatened staff with a pair of scissors when he was challenged over the theft of meat valued at £100.
A spokesman for Essex Police added: "He is described as a white man, 5ft 10ins tall in his late 30s with short hair. He was wearing a brown Fila jacket, glasses, jeans and black trainers with white soles.
"If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.
"Please quote crime 42/173847/22 when providing any information to make sure it gets to the right person as quickly as possible."
