A TRIBUTE show celebrating the music of an iconic songwriter is set to ‘Boss’ the stage at a state-of-the-art entertainment venue.

The Sound of Bruce Springsteen, an ensemble formed in late 2017, will rock the Mercury Theatre, in Colchester, on July 23.

The band, which was put together by industry expert Garreth Hicklin, consists of musicians who harness an undeniable love for Bruce Springsteen.

Tapping into their unique abilities to do the hit-maker’s vast back catalogue justice, the group will recreate with pinpoint precision a range of the rocker’s best tracks.

Everything from Born To Run, Streets of Philadelphia, Badlands, and Born in the USA to Dancing in the Dark, Thunder Road and Glory Days will be performed.

A spokesman for the show said: “The true Sound of Springsteen is now performing live on stage to great acclaim.

“You will celebrate and enjoy a great night of the 'Boss’ where you will hear classic songs from the Springsteen songbook.

“The band’s passion for Springsteen shines through and their skill and musicianship outweigh all others - they can’t wait to get out and share their amazing show.”

Tickets for the Sound of Springsteen cost £26.5,0 including a booking fee and can be purchased by mercurytheatre.co.uk/event/the-sound-of-springsteen.
