FORMER Colchester United goalkeeper Ethan Ross has a new club.
The 25-year-old, who made eight appearances for the U's before leaving to join Lincoln City in 2020, has joined National League outfit York City on loan from League Two newcomers Stockport County.
Ross, who spent two years with Colchester, has signed a season-long loan deal with the Minstermen for the duration of the 2022/23 campaign.

Ross told the York City website: “I have quite a bit of experience behind me for my age and I’m hoping to bring that here and add some value to the team.
“I need to try and emulate the performances [Pete Jameson] put in for the club but I need to try and do that my way.
"Hopefully if I can do that it will stand us in good stead in terms of the league and winning games.”
Ross left Colchester to join Lincoln on a one-year deal, having helped them reach the League Two play-offs under John McGreal.
He made ten appearances for Stockport last season as they clinched promotion back to the Football League.
However, Ross is now looking to make an impression for York under their boss, former Port Vale manager John Askey.
