A SEAFRONT music event featuring “some of the best local talent” in the county will return to the beaches of a Tendring town later this summer.

Breezefest 22, a two-day festival, will once again take place from August 20 at the Seabreeze Cafe, in Clacton following a successful showcase last year.

The line-up, consisting of solely acoustic musicians, boasts everyone from Ed Talbot, Serena Grant, and Hooligans to Laura Wyatt, Ely Tree and A Light Left On.

There will also be performances from Foxtrot Oscar, Lyric Deep Limited, James Morgan, Mr B and the Wolf, Indigo, Jamie Williams, Bex and Frieda, and many more.

Throughout the weekend creative children or even older audience members will also be able to take part in a sandcastle competition and wow judges with their designs.

Breezefest was founded by songwriter and musician of more than 20 years, and school teacher David Brown, from Clacton, alongside his friend and fellow instrumentalist Kevin Barnes.

It was first launched with a view of helping cheer people after the first 18-months of the coronavirus pandemic, which proved a difficult period for the entertainment industry.
