POLICE are investigating an assault in Monkwick, Colchester.
A police cordon was put in place in School Road after emergency services were contacted in the early hours of Monday morning.
Further details of the assault have not been released.
A statement released by Essex Police said: “We are investigating a report of an assault close to Queen Elizabeth Way, in Colchester, which was made to us shortly after 12am, on Monday, June 27.
“No arrests have been made and our inquiries are ongoing.
“Please quote incident 13 of 27 June.”
