Roman Circus opens up to budding archaeologists in search of artefacts
A HISTORIC chariot racing arena will play host to budding Time Teamers eager to uncover rare Roman artefacts next month.
Archaeology Day at the Roman Circus will take place at the Roman Circus Visitor Centre, in Colchester, on July 30, between 10am and 3pm.
The free event, which will also boast a range of stalls, will enable guests to dig in a sand pit, embark on an activity trail and meet the city’s finest archaeologists.
Food will also be available within the venue’s on-site café.
