HIGHWAYS bosses are expecting traffic delays after a sinkhole emerged metres from a busy roundabout.

The issue has been raised at the top of Balkerne Hill, Colchester, with traffic already building as a result.

In a statement, Essex Highways, which maintains the county’s roads, said it is aware of the issue and has made the area safe while works are carried out.
