A BURGLARY victim arrived home to find the crook fleeing their property with a pillowcase stashed full of stolen goods.
Essex Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following the burglary.
At around 2.20pm on Tuesday, June 7, a resident in Bakers Lane, Black Notley, arrived home and was met with an unknown man leaving the property.
He was carrying a pillowcase containing stolen goods and left the scene in a white van parked nearby.
A considerable amount of property was taken, including garden power tools, fishing equipment and smaller personal items.
Police believe the suspect may have gone between the address and the van several times, crossing the road to do so.
The suspect is described as a white man, aged in his 30s, 5ft 2ins tall and of skinny build.
He had facial hair and was described as “scruffy”, wearing a dirty grey baseball cap and a grey tracksuit. He spoke with a local accent.
The white van had a large dent to the passenger side and black tape on the number plates obscuring the index and was last seen going towards London Road, Great Notley.
A police spokesman said: "We need anyone who saw anything or has any CCTV, dash cam, or doorbell footage to contact us."
