A HEALTH leader has been recognised for her “incredible service” to the community.
NHS North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group chief officer Pam Green received the prestigious High Sheriffs award from Nick Alston, the Essex High Sheriff.
Ms Green was handed the Essex award in recognition of her service to the community during the pandemic and her past 13 years in healthcare.
The award recognises individuals who go above and beyond the call of duty and who have made a positive impact on people’s lives.
On receiving the award, Ms Green said: “I am so happy to receive this award and am extremely grateful.
“They [colleagues] equally deserve recognition for all they have done during the exhausting and challenging years of the pandemic.
“It is, of course, lovely to receive this award, and as we enter a new era with the creation of our local integrated care board, I know my great colleagues will continue to support people in living happy and healthy lives.”
Dr Ed Garratt, who nominated the chief for the award, said: “Pam truly deserves this honour as she has shown extraordinary leadership, commitment and heart in Essex.
“Her work helped to keep our communities safe during the pandemic and I want her to know how valued she is.”
