A driver has avoided a ban despite being over the limit on cocaine
A DRIVER has avoided a ban despite being over the limit on drugs.
Sergiu Grigoriu, of Speedwell Close, Colchester, was caught in his car in the car park of McDonald’s on Cowdray Avenue in January.
The 21-year-old was found with 128 microgrammes of cocaine per litre of blood. The limit is 10.
He was charged with being in charge of a motor vehicle with proportion of specified controlled drug above specified limit.
He admitted the charge when appearing in Colchester Magistrates’ Court on May 16, and was given an £80 fine and ten points.
