AN uninsured driver left police officers amused when they tried to give them the slip… while pulling into a cul-de-sac.
Essex Police’s roads team had picked up a Volkswagen Golf which showed it had no insurance or MOT on Thursday.

When the force tried to pursue the car, the driver attempted to evade officers and escape from the law, however, they “spectacularly” pulled into a dead end road.
A police spokesman said: “[The] driver tried to give us the slip but failed spectacularly pulling into a dead end road. Driver reported and now enjoying a long walk home.”
