CORONAVIRUS sceptics staged a 'community outrach' demonstration outside the offices of the Gazette as they tried to get their anti-vaccine message across to workers and passing drivers.

Protestors headed to Colchester’s Newsquest headquarters, in Brunel Way, on Thursday where they held aloft placards questioning the safety of the Covid jabs.

Some of the statements displayed on the boards suggested “Vaccinating children is child abuse” and there is “No money made from natural immunity.”

The activists also accused politicians of lying about the number of people who have died after having either the Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneca vaccines.

They also contest the Covid-19 crisis was concocted by the Government as a way of establishing more control over the population.

One of the campaigners, Alison Lester, said: “The reason we do this is to try and raise awareness of the vaccines and the damage they are doing to people.

“We have attended hospitals before and we have had people speak with us and say people have ended up in wheelchairs and they know people who have died.

"I genuinely care about other people and I think people should be told and they should not be treated like this. What have we got to gain from this?"

Another campaigner called Ian, a retired resident, was also present at the demonstration.

He said: "We have come together because we have been able to see what a scam Covid has been since day one.

"When they have been asked for proof of Covid they cannot prove it. It is a scam created by the Government.

"We have been to police stations with evidence and they do not want to know - they are instructed to just pacify us and send us away.

"We have gone into vaccination centres and chemists and served them notices that they are committing crimes against humanity but they do not take any notice of us.

"We will be here until people wake up."

According to the Government website, 411,978 jabs have been administered in Colchester since the vaccine roll-out started.

England's Deputy Chief Medical Officer Jonathan Van-Tam has said in excess of 100,000 lives have been saved as a result of the vaccinations in the UK and 24 million Covid cases averted.
