TIPTREE Patisserie has created a special pudding in honour of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

The individual portions of Platinum Pudding will be sold to caterers, hotels, shops and restaurants.

The special creation has handmade Tiptree lemon curd sponge rolls layered with St Clements jelly, lemon custard, mandarin compote and crumbled Amaretti biscuits.

The pudding is served in individual glass jars and topped with whipped cream, chocolate pieces and Amaretti biscuit crumb.

The pudding has been specially developed by Tiptree Patisserie in time for the Jubilee celebrations.

The history of Wilkin and Sons goes back to the first Tiptree conserves which were made in 1885 on the Tiptree estate, where they continue to be made today.

Wilkin and Sons was awarded the crest in 1911 by King George V and are still Royal Warrant holders and provide products to the Queen.

After struggles during the Second World War, the company was given the Royal Warrant from the Queen in 1954 for the supply of jam and marmalade.

The Royal Warrant was extended in 2009 to cover the whole range of Tiptree products.

And in October, 2010 the Queen paid a visit to the Wilkin and Sons jam factory for the firm's 125th anniversary.
