POLICE are looking to locate a man in connection with two attempted burglaries in Colchester.

The incidents took place between 2.20am and 2.35am on Saturday, May 7 in Hurrell Down, and Eastwood Drive, in the Highwoods area.

On both occasions, entry to the property was unsuccessful and nothing was taken from either home.

Police are investigating the incidents and have described the two men they want to speak to.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “The first man is white and aged in his early 20s, was wearing a white hooded coat, white trousers and dark coloured gloves.

“The second man is white and was wearing a white top, white trousers and dark coloured gloves. 

“We are releasing an image of one man we would like to speak to in connection with the investigation.

“We need anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area in the early hours of Saturday, May 7 or has any dash cam or doorbell footage to contact us.
