A FAMOUS television comedian is set to bring the laughs to a popular entertainment venue next month with a spiritual and high-octane performance.

Mark Watson will stage his This Can’t Be It stand-up show at Colchester Arts Centre on June 11.

The routine will see the multi-award-winner delve into observational comedy as he attempts to cram two years of overthinking into one evening.

An event spokesman said: “We've all had some pondering to do about the fragility of life recently, but don't worry, skinny national treasure Mark Watson has it covered.

“At 41, he's halfway through his days on earth, according to the life expectancy calculator app he paid £1.49 for.

“Life is in the best shape in living memory - but one problem remains, and it really is a huge one.”

Mark performed his first ever show 20 years ago, and he has been a familiar face on our television screens ever since.

Over his career, he has appeared on the likes of Taskmaster, Mock The Week and Never Mind The Buzzcocks.

Tickets for the comedy gig, which starts at 8pm with doors opening half an hour earlier, cost £20 and can be purchased by visiting colchesterartscentre.com.
