POLICE are appealing for information following a four-vehicle crash which left the A120 blocked.
Officers with Essex Police were called to the scene of the incident on the A120 at Coggeshall Road near Coggeshall on Saturday, at 1.05pm.
The collision involved four vehicles and caused heavy traffic in both directions on the road, which sits between Braintree and Colchester.
Police advised drivers to avoid the area and ambulances were called to the scene.
An off-duty police officer was nearby to help and was later followed by multiple police units.
Essex Police say one driver has been reported for careless driving.
The road was cleared by officers by around 2.40pm.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We were called to reports of a four-vehicle collision on Coggeshall Road near Coggeshall at around 1.05pm.
“No-one was seriously injured but one person has been reported for careless driving.
“We need anyone who saw anything or has any dash cam footage to contact us.
“If you have any information, you can submit a report online at essex.police.uk.
“Please quote incident 616 of 14 May.”
