EMERGENCY services have closed a road in Colchester after a collision which caused serious damage to three cars.
The incident involved a Kia Rio, which had overturned, as well as a Volvo and Volkswagen.
Part of Old Heath Road has since been closed by the emergency services, with a police car and ambulance in attendance.
The collision is believed to have taken place at approximately 8.30pm on Saturday evening.
A man has been taken to hospital following the crash.

Essex Police did not provide a statement on the incident when contacted by the Gazette.
