Fine - the offence was proved at Reading Magistrates' Court
A MAN has been fined almost £400 after dodging a train fare.
Steve Nicolaou, 40, of Currents Lane, Harwich, was caught at Colchester Town Station after failing to pay for a £9 journey.
The offence took place on December 21 and was proved at Reading Magistrates Court under the single justice procedure.
Nicolaou was fined £220, ordered to pay costs of £150 and compensation of £9.
