IN the search for a storage unit for her online children’s clothing company, founder Jo Wright found the perfect space and decided to turn it into a physical shop.

The Little Wardrobe Company began in 2020 in an apartment in Muscat, where Jo, 38, lived with her young daughter and husband, who was working there.

She felt like there weren’t enough places to get unique, pretty, good quality clothes for her child so decided to start her business by buying and selling clothes for children aged zero to eight.

Jo and her daughter, who was two at the time, moved back to the Colchester area in February last year and Jo decided to continue her business.

Gazette:

The now mother of two said: “Colchester High Street is shutting down more and more and it doesn’t feel like there’s any physical shops here that does nice children’s clothing.

“The shop will have mainly children’s clothing, some accessories, books and some great quality preloved pieces.

Gazette:

“The preloved reloved section will offer affordable clothing for everyone. I am very excited to open the shop and hope to see it grow.”

The shop is opening on Saturday in Pattens Yard, West Bergholt, next to Oak View Landscapes Limited.
