A DENTAL laboratory is to be set up at a farm building in Ardleigh after plans were given the green light.
Tendring Council has granted permission for the conversion of one of the wings of the courtyard block of Moze Hall Farm in Fox Street.
Applicant Mr Wood currently runs a small dental laboratory in Ipswich and previously ran one in Manningtree.
His intention is to downsize this use while also taking occupation of Maze Hall.
In a statement, the developer said: "The proposed operation is extremely limited, with a series of small rooms each used for a particular process in the preparation and production of dental fittings.
"Two of the rooms will have equipment of a size and nature equivalent to a washing machine, of which only one would need to operate at any one time.
"The other rooms will include the use by small hand tools in the finishing of the fitting.
"Moreover, there are no other residential dwellings in the locality other than the hall and one of the farm buildings is to be converted into a dwelling for a member of the applicant's family."
The laboratory is set to operate between 8am and 6pm on Mondays to Saturdays.
