A THIEF with an “appalling” record has been jailed after targeting two Co-op stores during her latest crimes.

Jodie Collins, 37, stole £588.50 worth of alcohol from the Co-op in Stanway Retail Park on February 22 of this year.

She then targeted a separate Co-op in Wimpole Road, Colchester, on April 24 when she took a quantity of meat totaling £93 in value.

Collins, of St Johns Avenue, Colchester, admitted two counts of theft when she appeared at Colchester Magistrates’ Court, and was subsequently sent to prison for six week.

She was also ordered to pay £200 in compensation.
