Essex Police is appealing for witnesses and anyone with information on the following crimes in and around Colchester to contact them.

Police launched an investigation after a man suffered significant facial injuries in an unprovoked assault.

The attack happened in Colchester High Street.

The victim, who is in his 20s, was attacked at 1am on Monday.

The attacker has been described as white, in his early 40s, around 6ft 1ins tall and of medium build.

He has short fair-to-ginger hair and at the time of the assault was wearing a short-sleeved white, green, and pink floral-patterned shirt and jeans.

Police have now issued an appeal for anyone who saw anything or has any CCTV or mobile phone footage to contact them.

A 19-year-old, who was walking on East Hill just before 6am on Friday, April 22, suffered a fractured jaw and was knocked unconscious.

He was then taken to hospital.

Officers are hunting two men in connection with an ongoing investigation into vehicles being damaged.

Essex Police says it wants to speak to the men as it launches a probe into two vehicles sustaining damage in Head Street, Rowhedge.

The force says the incident took place at about 11.35pm on March 6.

A spokesman said: “We want to identify these two men and speak to them in connection with an investigation into two vehicles being damaged in Rowhedge.”
