A MAN with a past of harassment has been put behind bars.

Jordan Moran, 20, of Rogation Close, Colchester, has committed five crimes against three women in the town since October 2020.

And after admitting fresh charges at Colchester Magistrates’ Court, he was sentenced to three months at a young offenders’ institution for his latest crimes.

On April 8, Moran breached a restraining order when he contacted a woman despite being prohibited from doing so.

He admitted a different charge of behaving in a threatening manner while within range of a person likely to be alarmed by such an act.

During the same day, he also intentionally harassed a policeman in a racially or religiously aggravated manner.

Appearing at court, Moran also admitted a separate charge of using threatening or abusive words to harass another woman.

On the same date, he also committed the same offence when he alarmed or caused distress to a man.

Moran admitted three counts of using threatening, abusive, insulting words or behaviour to harass, cause alarm or distress. He also admitted breaching a non-molestation order imposed on him and committing a racially or religiously aggravated offence of intentional harassment.

The fresh set of criminal offences occurred during a time when Moran was already serving a suspended sentence.
