A SEX offender has been spared a prison sentence after failing to notify police of where he was living.
Liam Kinggett, who was staying in Old Ipswich Road, Ardleigh, was legally required by Essex Police to notify officers of where he is living due to past convictions for sexual offences.
However, officers had to locate and apprehend the 26-year-old after having not been told where he was residing.
Appearing at Colchester Magistrates’ Court, Kinggett admitted failing to comply with his compulsory requirement and was sentenced to 24 weeks’ imprisonment, suspended for one year.
He must also pay a £128 surcharge.
