EMERGENCY services rushed to a popular beauty spot as they attempted to find a missing woman.

Essex Police were called to Hollymead Close, in Colchester, near the High Woods Country Park, shortly after 10.30am today.

The force's officers were assisted by the ambulance service as they responded to concerns for the welfare of a woman.

After arriving at the scene, the woman, who required medical help, was quickly located before being left in the care of paramedics.

One eyewitness, who has asked to remain anonymous, said: “I saw a police car come screeching to a half and then two officers sprinted into the park.

“They then came running back out of the park about five minutes later saying they had instigated CPR.

“There was about four ambulances, a paramedic car and at least three police cars and the officers were not letting anyone into the park from this side.

“I did not know what the hell was going on, but it seemed like something pretty serious was happening.”
