A TEENAGER caught with a knife has been ordered to pay £22.

The 17-year-old from, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was found to be in possession of the blade in Villa Road, Stanway on February 27.

The teenager from Harwich admitted the offence when he appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court this month.

He was ordered to pay a £22 surcharge and was discharged conditionally for 12 months, meaning he will not be sentenced further unless he commits another offence this set time period.
