A DRINK driver who got behind the wheel at more than double the limit has been banned from driving.
Claire Saunders, of West Street, Colchester, was breathalysed by police officers after being stopped on the B1027 at St Osyth on March 19.
The 43-year-old was caught with 88 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilites of breath.
The legal limit is 35.
Saunders admitted the offence when she appeared at Colchester Magistrates’ Court, and was ordered to pay £346 in a fine, surcharge and costs, and was banned from obtaining a driving licence for 18 months.
