A BRAINTREE shopping complex has announced the opening of a unique multi-seasonal store.
Braintree Village has seen shoe brand Havaianas open a 673 sq ft store which will become a Happy Socks shop in the autumn.
The store, located near Nike on the centre’s South Mall, opened on Saturday and stocks the brand’s range of flip flops, sandals, slides and slippers in a variety of colourful and neutral combinations.
Founded in 1962, Havaianas has become a top sandal brand with 200 million pairs sold every year.
In preparation for winter and not forgetting the perfect Christmas gift, the Havaianas store will transform into Swedish hosiery brand Happy Socks for three months.
Opening in October 2022, Happy Socks will trade in Braintree Village with unique eye-catching designs inspired by everything from art and fashion to pop culture and foodie favourites.
Josef O’Sullivan, Braintree Village Centre Director, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Havaianas to our exciting brand line-up.
"As travelling has become easier and international holidays have resumed, Havaianas is the perfect addition to Braintree Village and gives our guests even more choice.
“We are excited to welcome such a unique store which can prioritise our guests’ wants and needs across the year.
"The three-month trading period for Happy Socks will be perfect in the run up to Christmas.
“Enhancing guest experience is always a priority at Braintree Village and opening a store that trades seasonal items is a great way to meet these needs.”
Julian Thomas, Director of United Peaks Ltd, added: “We are really excited for the opportunity to trade all year round at Braintree Village, kickstarting with Havaianas and followed by Happy Socks.
“Both brands boast colourful designs, unique patterns, and high-quality products which we are confident the Essex-based outlet guests will love.”
