POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a robbery in Tiptree.

It was reported that, as a woman walked along Church Road at around 6.45pm on Thursday, March 10, she was pushed into the road and had her handbag grabbed from her.

The suspect, a woman who was wearing a black tracksuit with the hood up, made off in the direction of McColls.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Thankfully, the victim was not seriously hurt.

"We need anyone who saw anything or has any dash cam footage to contact us.

"If you have any information you can submit a report.

"Please quote crime reference 42/62835/22."
