TWO people have been rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition following a seroious crash which saw their car overturn.

Essex Police are appealing for information after the serious collision in Great Totham in the Maldon district.

Officers responded to reports earlier today, Saturday, April 9, that a grey Ford Focus Titanum had left the road and overturned in Mountains Road.

The driver and passenger of the car, a local man and woman in their 70s, have been taken to hospital in life-threatening condition.

Essex Police would like to thank the members of public who tried to assist at the scene.

An Essex Police spokesman added: "The incident occurred at around 11:10am, and we are keen to speak to any witnesses, anyone who may have seen the car driving prior to leaving the road, or who may have passed the car and has dash cam footage they can provide.
