AN actress served up a spoonful of sugar and a bit of magic to pupils as she paid a special visit to a primary school.
Pupils at Roach Vale Primary School in Colchester were treated to a special visit when Mary Poppins flew in to say hello.
Deputy mayoress Nicola Goodchild, from Colchester, is thought to be the only dedicated UK tribute act to Mary Poppins.
Nicola visited the school in her familiar costume arriving on a rickshaw and to help to draw the Easter raffle.
Roach Vale headteacher Clare Sampson said: “The children were entranced by Nicola’s visit. It was truly magical.
“The school sincerely appreciated Nicola’s time, kindness and generosity in making this special visit for our pupils.”
