We have gone back in our archives again to look at Colchester in days gone by and this time we are looking at the 1960s and 1970s.

It was a time when the town looked very different to how it is now.

Traffic still went through the town centre, the market was uncovered and cinemas were the big entertainment.

Over the two decades Colchester saw huge change as new ways of living came to the forefront.
