FIREFIGHTERS had to administer first aid on a major road after a collision involving two vehicles.
Crews arrived at the scene on the A12 London-bound between Stanway and Marks Tey shortly after 8.15am.
Huge traffic tailbacks ensued after two lanes were closed as the brigade dealt with the incident, with queues heading as far back as the JobServe Community Stadium.

A fire spokeswoman said: “We were called to a road traffic collision on the A12 - between junction 26 and 25 – at 8.16am this morning.
“On arrival, crews confirmed two vehicles had been involved in a collision. Firefighters administered first aid and made the scene safe by 8:53am.”
