I am amazed that no-one who has waited for a bus in Head Street recently is not aware of the real problem.
Despite three lanes feeding traffic into Head Street, there is only one lane out of it.
Constant use of the pedestrian crossing adds to the hold-ups.
Here’s a solution: Remove the barriers between Culver Street and High Street and allow ALL traffic into High Street.
The High Street cannot be pedestrianised, so why not let anyone use it?
Move the market to Culver Street and close it to traffic for most of the day.
Have disabled parking in High Street instead of Culver Street.
I see the Alumno project is planned to go ahead despite noone wanting it.
I do hope someone is going to explain one day why this is happening in the face of all the obvious reasons why it is completely wrong.
