Inferno - A car went up in flames on the A12
A CAR burst into a raging fireball after going up in flames on a busy main road in what was a shocking sight for passing motorists.
Firefighters were called to the hard shoulder on the A12 between Eight Ash Green and Colchester shortly before 6.30pm on Saturday.
After arriving at the scene the crews were confronted with a vehicle which was 100 per cent alight.
After working to make the area safe the blaze was eventually extinguished by the firefighters by 6.50pm.
