A TOWN centre pub has been told its food safety needs major improvement in a damning report.

Hole in the Wall, Balkerne Hill, Colchester was rated one-out-of-five during a Food Standards Agency inspection undertaken last month.

The pub was told it must make major improvements in the management of its food safety in order to ensure it is safe to eat.

Furthermore, its food handling hygiene was rated as needing improvement and the cleanliness and condition of the facilities was deemed generally satisfactory.
