A MAN has been banned from the roads after being found driving in Harwich while disqualified.

Christopher Tillett, 36, of Jameson Road, Clacton, admitted charges of driving while disqualified and driving without insurance when he appeared at Colchester Magistrates’ Court.

The court heard he was found driving a Ford Focus in Main Road, Harwich, on January 16, while while disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence and without insurance.

He was fined £200 and banned from driving for 20 months.

He must also pay £105 costs and a £34 surcharge to fund victim services.
