A CHARITY concert brimming with endless entertainment is being held in aid of frightened families fleeing Ukraine.

There will also be poetry from Alex Toms, a talk by writer AL Kennedy, and comedy from Hazel Humphreys and the Wivenhoe Funny Farm.

There are also many more acts still to be announced.

The gig, supported by Wivenhoe Town Council, is being held to aid the United Nations efforts in helping the people of Ukraine, a country being invaded by Russia.

Duncan said: “Feeling powerless about the dreadful situation in the Ukraine, I wanted to channel my frustration and anger at this dreadful situation into running an event.

"The response has been phenomenal, we hope the event will raise much needed funds to help the war-torn country and those innocent victims of this atrocity."

The show, which starts at 2pm, costs £10 on the door but guests are encouraged to pay more if they can afford to do so.
