AN upcoming comedian who has appeared on a revered stand-up television show is set to perform at a popular town centre venue next month.

Scott Bennett will take to the stage of Coda, in High Street, Colchester, on March 29 to headline a side-splitting gig ahead of his Great Scott tour.

The funny man, who is the co-star of the Brew with the Bennetts podcast, has previously featured in a number BBC Radio 4 sketches.

The Yorkshire joke-teller has also appeared on BBC One’s Live At The Apollo and was crowned the Comics’ Comic in 2020 after hosting garden shed gigs in lockdown.

On the night of his show in Colchester, which has been organised by Topper Promotions, Scott will be joined by Danny Mark, Aaron Jay, and MC Louie Green

Speaking about the award-winning comedian’s forthcoming performance, a spokesman for Coda said: “Topper Promotions have pulled a bit of a coup with Scott.

“We cannot wait to welcome this rising star of comedy to Colchester”.

Doors for the gig, for which some seating will be available on a first come first served basis, open at 7pm.
