CHANGES are being made to parking restrictions in parts of a number of Colchester roads.

The roads affected are:

* Replacing double yellow lines with resident permit holders only bays in parts of: Rawstorn Road; Manor Road; Papillon Road; St Albans Road; Crowhurst Road.

* Replacing single yellow lines with double yellow lines in parts of: Roman Road; Victoria Road; Cambridge Road; Castle Road.

* Replacing single yellow lines with resident permit holders only Mon-Sat am-6pm in Roman Road.

* Removing the restrictions in parts of: Papillon Road; Crowhurst Road; Oaks Drive.

* To extend the double yellow line in parts of: Mile End Road; Oaks Drive.

* Replacing current restrictions with double yellow lines in parts of: Mile End Road; Victoria Road

Other planned roadworks are:

* To close Colchester Road, Layer Breton from Lower Road to Layer Road from March 4 for five days in order to carry out carriageway patching works by Essex County Council.

* To close Fernwood Avenue, Holland on Sea from Kings Parade to Hereford Road for 33 days from March 21,while gas main replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

* A no waiting, no loading and no stopping restriction will be introduced in King George Road, Colchester, from Pownall Crescent to Queen Mary Road for 81 days from March 3, while carriageway strengthening works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

* To close Park Road, Great Horkesley for 220m, beginning 225m from its junction with Horkesley Hill on March 26 while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.

* To close Peldon Road, Abberton from Layer Road to St Ives Road for 12 days from March 21, for carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

* To close Upland Road, West Mersea for a 55m stretch near High Street North for five days from March 21, while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

* To close Water Lane, Langham from Skye Hall Hill to Low Lift Cottage Road for three days from March 21, while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

* To close Water Lane, Little Horkesley from Fishponds Hill to Horkesley Hill for three days from March 21, while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

* To close Bourne Road, Colchester for 130m near its junction with Mersea Road on March 10, while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.

* To close Chapel Road, Fingringhoe from Upper Haye Lane to South Green Road for 12 days from March 7, for broadband installation works by County Broadband Ltd.

* To close Coggeshall Road, Ardleigh for 45m from its junction with Hunters Chase for four days from March 8, while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

* To close East Gores Road, Coggeshall from Buckleys Lane to Salmons Lane for four days from March 8, while drainage works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

* To close Bergholt Road, Fordham and Fordham Road, West Bergholt from a point approximately 315m north of the junction with Rams Farm Road for a distance of approximately 210m for three days from March 14, while frame and cover replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

* To close Freeland Road, Clacton for 55m from Trafalgar Road for one week from March 7, while sewer repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

* To close Godmans Lane, Marks Tey for 480m from Jays Lane for six days from March 3, for carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

* To close Old Shield Farm Road, Ardleigh from Morrow Road to Frating Road for six days from March 10, for carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
