A ROAD was closed and a person taken to hospital after a collision which gathered a large emergency services response.
Old Heath Road was closed outside the Co-Op Foodstore as an ambulance and three police cars attended the scene shortly after 9.10am.
Essex Police stated a man sustained injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
An ambulance spokeswoman added: “We were called at 9.10am with reports of a collision in Old Heath Road, Colchester.

“We sent one ambulance and took a person to Colchester General Hospital for further care.”
Chris Rayner, who had to divert through Abbot’s Road, told the Gazette: “There were two buses parked up on the left and the road was taped off at both ends.
“It looked pretty serious.”
Essex Police added no arrests have been made
