Man found with heroin in Colchester is handed hefty fine
A MAN who was found in possession of heroin in Colchester has been handed a £392 fine.
Jonathan Phillips was found guilty of possessing a controlled drug of Class A after being caught on July 15, 2019.
The 40-year-old, of Broadway, Silver End, must now pay £392 in a fine, surcharge and court costs.
Colchester Magistrates Court ordered the quantity of diamorphine, of which heroin is a crude preparation, to be destroyed following the verdict.
