A DRINK driver has been banned from getting behind the wheel for more than two years.
Phillip Lyon, 39, of Beechwood Close, Colchester, was caught with 113 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when he was stopped in Iceni Way on January 22.
The legal limit is 35.
Lyon admitted the offence when he appeared at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on February 10.
He was handed a 27 month driving ban and must complete 120 hours unpaid work.
Lyon was also ordered to pay £105 prosecution costs and £95 victim services fund charge.
