A MAN who failed to say who was driving a Mercedes which was allegedly involved in an offence has been fined £600.

Mitchell Cowling, 34, of Colchester Road, Great Totham, was charged with failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver on October 8 in Wales.

The case was heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court via the single justice procedure.

This means the defendant does not have to appear in court and the case is dealt with by a magistrate.

At the court on February 8 Cowling was fined £660 and handed six penalty points.

He was also ordered to pay a £66 victim services fund charge and £90 costs.
